Mystery No More

Hi Everyone,
Well, yesterday was and exciting day for us. We went for the first (and probably only) ultrasound for this pregnancy. We got to "see" our baby for the first time--and we found out what we've been waiting to find out for so long! Our little baby is a GIRL! We are very excited that we now will have a little boy and girl in our family. And, of course, I can't wait to start decorating for and buying clothes for a little girl!

The ultrasound went well. It didn't seem as thorough as the one we had for Denis, but the doctor didn't say that anything looked abnormal, so we are assuming that she is healthy!! I will post some pictures once I get them scanned. I drank a little bit of Don's coffee before going in for the procedure because I wanted to make sure he/she was very awake so she wouldn't be hiding anything. Well, the coffee definitely worked, because she was squirming all over the place! The first comment that the doctor made was, "Wow, this baby is active!" He was able to tell right away that she was a girl, and he sounded very confident in his conclusion--so I guess it's safe to start buying pink!

Until next time,
Nicole
